This long Columbus Day weekend, my husband, Ken and I were able to take some time while the weather was warm to hike around the Quabbin Reservoir. It was such a picturesque day with blue skies and even deeper blue water at the reservoir. What we love about this area is the history. In the early 1930's, there were 4 towns that had to give up their homes for this reservoir to be the main water supply for the Boston area. The 4 towns were Dana, Prescott, Greenwich and Enfield. I am amazed at what a feat that would be in this day and age.
